Installing a video surveillance security system from Caribbean Security allows you to monitor suspicious activity before it turns into something more.

From a single camera to hundreds of cameras, Caribbean Security will help assess your needs and professionally design and install a system that will keep your employees and your property safe and secure.

There are many things to consider when designing a camera system. A conventional digital system or an IP based system? Cameras, placement, the view as seen by the camera, the monitor(s) to view the cameras, and the recording device for the system. Caribbean Security will work with you to set up the system that best meets your needs.

The first thing you'll need to consider is the cameras. Camera selection is an important part of any system. It is the eyes into what is being monitored. There is a camera for just about every situation you can think. Almost all cameras purchased now days are digital verses analog. A digital camera focuses light from a lens onto a computer chip that is sensitive to light. There are two types of chips - CMOS and CCD. CMOS has fewer light receptors than CCD chips. Less expensive cameras use CMOS chips. High-resolution cameras use CCD chips. Caribbean Security uses this type of camera, not inexpensive ones that will not work in a commercial security environment.

Viewing and recording of your cameras is done by a Digital Video Recorder or DVR. The DVR records all the cameras and is also used to playback recorded events. The DVR also acts as a multiplexer. This means you can record up to 16 cameras and during playback view all 16 or just one. In live mode you select which cameras to view. The DVR is capable of remote viewing over the internet with a broadband internet connection and storage on the DVR of images for weeks or months. DVR's have superior technologies: quick search capability; high-quality, zoom-able images; and easily downloadable and transferable images.

Caribbean Security utilizes a centralized, fused power supply for all cameras as opposed to individual transformers. These power supply's are housed in latching heavy gauge metal enclosures, have field replaceable automotive type fuses, full amperages (true to their ratings, input and output LED indicators, superior RFI/EMI immunity and surge/noise protection which all lead to maintaining camera synchronization.

IP-based video surveillance security systems, which utilize a network and the Internet to transmit and store digital images, allows you to monitor video data from anywhere at any time. The ability to access and monitor single sites or multiple locations remotely via the Internet helps streamline operations, increase productivity and, most importantly, reduce costs. Off-site archiving of recorded video enhances on-site security by preventing local system tampering. Caribbean Security will design a networked system for you utilizing professional IP cameras with matched lenses, power over Ethernet (Poe) switches to power and network the cameras and a network video recorder (NVR) solution to save the video.

Our video surveillance systems feature the industry's leading edge technologies and cameras. This includes low-light cameras to enhance night vision, interactive dome cameras with 360-degree rotation and high resolution cameras to capture details. All video surveillance cameras can easily be integrated with access control systems.

Caribbean Security Limited is trained and certified to ensure proper design and execution whether client requirements are for upgrading an existing system or installing a new one.
