Caribbean Security Limited's existence is based on the principles of its founders, Neville Smith, Ted Rau and Dave Dupree - offer the community quality products, hands on installation, integrity, reliability, professionalism, and service.
Caribbean Security Limited's partners bring a vast wealth of knowledge to the company and to the British Virgin Islands. The company believes "experience is one thing you can't get for nothing". Mr. Rau and Mr. Dupree have a combined fifty-seven years of experience in the security industry. They have personally performed over one thousand five hundred installations (homes, businesses, banks, trusts and government entities) throughout the United States, Tortola, St. Maarten, Aruba, Curacao, Cayman and Trinidad.
Both have attended and successfully completed courses given by the United States National Training School. These courses included electricity, control devices, space detection, CCTV systems, specialty systems, electronics and advanced electronics, controls and communications, and fire alarm installation standards. As a result they are both recognized by the United States National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association, the Central Station Alarm Association and the Security Industry Association as certified alarm technicians and advanced alarm technicians. In addition, both are licensed as alarm installers and dealers by the State of New York.
They have attended manufacturer's classes; and after passing comprehensive examinations are certified distributor/dealers for access control systems, burglar alarm systems, fire alarm systems, voice evacuation systems, as well as CCTC systems.
They hold memberships in ASIS (American Society for Industrial Security) and NFPA (National Fire Protection Association).
Mr. Rau is a retired Detective bureau commander for a county police department located just outside New York City. His responsibilities, knowledge and training in this position further enhance the capabilities of Caribbean Security Limited to design all types of security systems to meet the needs of its customers. He has over 22 years experience in the sales, installation and servicing of security systems.
Mr. Dupree has over 25 years of installation, service and sales of security systems and operational central station experience. He was also personally responsible for the design, construction and staffing of two state of the art central stations in New York.
Mr. Smith has lived in the British Virgin Islands for his entire life. He provides the insight that is needed to make a local company successful. He is active in system installations, and is personally responsible for sales and marketing duties as well as performing administrative functions within the company.
